So were we - until we found this beautiful report from Spiceworks. It's the annual State of IT report, covering the latest trends in tech adoption.

First off, a few words on how Spiceworks conducted their survey. They certainly didn't fall prey to tunnel vision: the data represents a fair spread of companies (from local stores to large enterprises) across a variety of industries, distributed throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
According to their results, a company's average IT budget runs around $250,000 annually. Nearly half of the respondents said they plan to increase that next year.
IT teams range from two to 12, depending on the size of the company. The average tech team has about four pros on staff. Twenty-eight percent of the companies surveyed plan to add to their team next year, but most (60%) feel their team size is right on track.
The cloud is big. So is virtualization. So is mobile. The great majority of companies surveyed have already adopted; others have immediate plans to adopt. Want to know what they're using these services for, specifically? Check out the report to see a beautiful spread of information.
BYOD is getting bigger - requiring new waves technical support and user policies to accommodate that trend. Still, most companies (61-83%) welcome it. The smaller the company, the easier it is to incorporate BYOD; still even the giants are adjusting.
