The Netop team just returned from a terrific trip to Nashville for the Service Management Fusion conference and expo. Held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort – a great facility that blends world-class amenities with down-home comfort – Fusion 13 gave IT professionals from around the country the opportunity to share ideas, learn from leaders in service management, and try out the newest tools for technical support.
James, Katelynn and I were on hand to meet with customers and partners – such as BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee – and to show off our new browser-based support console for Netop Remote Control. The browser-based support console gives support agents the ability to access machines directly from their browser – without needing to install anything on help desk computers. We also showcased the Netop Remote Control Mobile App, which IT teams can use to provide remote support from iPads and iPhones. In between, we sat in on great presentations – such as Josh Linker’s challenge to change cultures to prioritize creativity.
We also got to spend some time away from the Opryland compound and enjoying downtown Nashville. No trip to Nashville is complete without spending some time on Broadway, visiting the Ryman Auditorium and taking in music at the nearby pubs. Robert’s Western World was hopping with the Bob Wills-style swing of John England and the Western Swingers. Food-wise, we have to recommend the duck fat tater tots and fried green tomatoes at Merchant’s Restaurant.
Of course, the folks from HDI and itSMF-USA put on a great event. We were pleased with the traffic to the expo and the opportunities to visit with IT professionals during the conference. We’re looking forward to seeing some familiar faces at the 2014 HDI Conference in Orlando.
