From points around the globe – Denmark, Chicago, Romania, Portland – Netop teammates descended on Las Vegas to participate in the 2013 HDI Conference. On the expo floor, Toke, TJ, Marius and I were able to connect with numerous Netop customers and make some new acquaintances. Overall, it is clear that IT leaders are looking more closely at cloud-enabled solutions, thinking aggressively about new ways to manage assets, and wrestling with the challenges presented by BYOD initiatives.
At our booth, we saw an even mix of people looking at web-based and self-hosted remote support tools. We also got to meet several IT desk leaders looking for ways to bring the efficiency and right-channel benefits of online chat to their help desk. With over a dozen trials started up at the show, we’re helping them make the transition from inquiry to implementation.
Quick fine dining nod: A friend had recommended the weekend brunch at the Border Grill inside the Mandalay Bay for their weekend brunch. Although I wasn’t able to linger through the weekend this time around, I did stop by twice during the week – once solo and once with Eduard from our Bucharest office. Great tacos, sandwiches and value – and nice that it was so close to the expo hall.
