I am happy to announce the release of Netop Remote Control version 12.50. With improvements in password storage and encryption, added security for Internet connectivity, and updates to the WebConnect interface, 12.50 is our most secure version yet.
In addition to improved security, there are new configuration options that enhance the usability of the product. Users have more control over the information disclosed by Netop modules during a network scan and can optimize the performance of Netop Remote Control when used with a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
Netop Remote Control version 12.50 also includes a new protocol for communicating with Remote Control modules. The Guest module can now be launched via a customized uniform resource identifier (URI). This means you can launch the Guest and connect to a specific Host from a custom link inside an application or a webpage.
I am thrilled to deliver to you the most secure, most robustly featured and the most readily configurable remote access solution that Netop has ever developed. This release is the result of thousands of conversations with Netop customers and technological partners over the past year. We’ve taken our time to make sure that we are meeting our primary goal: to give you the most secure remote access software on the market with configuration and connection options that surpass our competitors.
We feel like we’ve succeeded and we encourage you to give it a try. Current customers, of course, have access free of charge. If you are not a customer, you can start a free, no obligation trial of the newest version of Netop Remote Control here.
In order to take advantage of the improved security and the enhanced usability, we encourage all Netop customers to upgrade to version 12.50 as soon as possible. Additional information is available in the release notes. Current customers with active Netop Advantage programs can download the updated modules here.
If you are not covered by the Netop Advantage program (or aren’t sure about your coverage) please contact us here.
We know the challenges our customers face – gaining access to remote devices and production networks without compromising their network security and maintaining PCI compliance. At Netop, our primary concern is meeting these needs. I’m excited to introduce you to our newest solution, proud of the corroboration between our customers and development teams and deeply interested in getting your feedback.
Give it a try and let me know what you think.
