When the hackers who hit Target in 2013 accessed core business systems through the HVAC system they exploited a weakness that we have been studying for the past few years – namely, that networked devices often can present a network security vulnerability. Working with our partners at Lynxspring, we created a solution for managing remote access into HVAC and building automation systems, LYNX CyberPro. Our SecureM2M solution extends that secure connectivity to SCADA systems and other industrial controls. Because it is designed to work in low-bandwidth and high-latency environments, Netop SecureM2M is the solution of choice for maritime and other satellite-connected deployments.
